Wild Wayne Unchained Podcast is the Official Podcast of Essence Eats 2019!!!

The highly successful Wild Wayne Unchained podcast has been named the official podcast host of the 2019 ESSENCE Eats Stage as a part of the 25th annual Essence Festival held in New Orleans Friday, July 5, – Sunday, July 7, 2019. On DAY 1, Wild Wayne and co-host Shawn A. Royal will be interviewing various cultural and culinary influencers that include: Greg Tillery of We Dat Chicken And Shrimp and Sherilyn and Leroy Hayward III of Leroy’s LipSmack’n Lemonade and many more.  

This year, the ESSENCE Eats Stage will also incorporate new programming elements that includes podcasts and city guide formats.These segments will bring to life top food trends, health and fitness education, and cultural culinary influence and entrepreneurship like never before.The ESSENCE Eats Stage takes festival-goers on a journey to discover some of America’s most fascinating Black culinary professionals as they tell their stories and whip up some of their favorite dishes. From celebrities to top chefs and burgeoning restaurateurs, the ESSENCE Eats Stage provides a platform for this talented group to share their passions, dreams and the history behind their recipes.
